Tech Help
This journey of remote learning was nothing short of unexpected. However SMASD teachers rose to the challenge. Success stories are abundant: small tech steps, creative projects, failing forward, just to name a few.
Share here something great that you have done, a #shoutout to a colleague or an epic fail that you learned from.

#ShoutOut to Mrs, Sheila Bauer for driving around little bags of candy to all of her kindergarten students and leaving them on our porches! She has created videos and held weekly zoom meetings, with KINDERGARTNERS!!!! She is an amazing teacher and a wonderful person! Thank you!
#ShoutOut to Ann Defilippi for answering all of my questions and being my go to whenever I needed anything! This would have been impossible without her!
#EpicFail - so proud of myself for learning screencastify and creating a lesson. Posted the lesson and the worksheets, so I thought and was so happy the rest of the day. Next day, I have MULTIPLE messages about the worksheets not being posted. No need to fear, I got this. I log in, post the worksheet and apologize to the kids. Get on 3 hours later, I posted the wrong worksheets!!!!! OMG. Told the kids I was losing my mind, re-posted the worksheets and told them to do their best.
We can never tell our teachers enough how important they are and what an incredibly awesome job they are doing. I discovered the grades tab at the top of Google Classroom. Never noticed it before, but it sure makes life easier especially when students turn in late work.
I enjoyed getting creative with the assignments. My students were able to do many research projects that I normally don't have the time to do. I also gave them choices on what project or assignment to do. This proved very beneficial...Something that I can utilize in the classroom on a regular basis. I found out more about my students personalities with online learning versus in class learning because they had to make those choices and present the material in multiple ways.
