Objective: Build a personal water treatment system that has a capacity to treat no less than 85% of contaminants for my household. It should also use a continuously stirred tank reactor, a filtration system, and a self-cleaning feature.
Thankfully I did not have to worry about area as much as I placed my filtration system in the parking lot of the church. It's the church next to my house, I hope they don't mind!
Despite the tests and concepts being slightly difficult, this is important knowledge that shockingly not many people in America know. I did not know that the infrastructure in the States was suffering, a grading of C+ at best. It really reflects on how much effort the country wants to put for its people.
In these lessons I learned that cities nationwide such as Flint, Michigan suffered a water crisis. Because of their outdated and neglected water infrastructure, people died from harmful bacteria that was not properly disinfected.
In case of emergencies, I like that this unit and project gave me a general knowledge of what processes of the water filtration system I would need to live comfortably.
