Dear Saint Louis University students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends:
Thank you sincerely for helping us to produce another successful Senior Legacy Symposium! This year's symposium featured over 160 students from over 45 academic departments and programs. In presenting the results of their inquiry, they exemplified SLU's mission to pursue truth in the service of others.
The success of our student presenters would not be possible without the encouragement of family, friends, and supporters of all kinds who were there for our students throughout their undergraduate careers. Thank you to those of you who encouraged them to keep taking risks and working towards their goals!
Thank you, too, to the faculty and staff mentors who accompanied our student presenters on their research journey. Your mentorship and guidance are invaluable.
A special thank you to the University Honors Program staff Louise Edwards Neiman, Valerie Shor, and Jessica Foley or their work on this event. Thank you, too, to our student worker Natalie Walsh, without whom this event would not be possible.
Presenters, as you leave the University to embark on your chosen careers, we hope that your research continues to motivate you to solve complex problems facing our communities. We hope you remember the hours you spent engaged in the kind of work that is simultaneously frustrating and exhilarating, befuddling and energizing, but always multi-dimensional and complex. We hope you carry this creativity and tenacity with you, wherever you go next. Thank you for sharing a part of your academic legacy with the Saint Louis University community. We appreciate all that you have given back.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Muich, Ph.D.
Director, University Honors Program
