The Senior Legacy Symposium is SLU's annual celebration of undergraduate scholarly and creative work. Since 2008, this event has provided a platform for distinguished students from all majors to share their culminating academic achievements with the campus community in the form of research posters, oral presentations, artistic exhibitions, and musical/dramatic performances.
This year's Senior Legacy Symposium will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in the Busch Student Center from 2-5 pm.
Each year we invite departments from across the university's undergraduate schools and colleges to nominate up to three students for inclusion in this year's Symposium. Nominated students will then be invited to present at the Symposium and submit their work for our 2026 Abstract Book. We are thrilled to showcase the academic and creative accomplishments of over 200 students from over 50 academic departments and programs from across the University.
We look forward to celebrating our 19th annual Senior Legacy Symposium with the campus community, and hope to see you in April.

SLU receives R1 classification
As an institution, SLU prides itself on supporting research at a high-level. After achieving R1 status as of February 13, 2025, the SLU now holds the highest classification a university can receive for research activity.

Please note, all undergraduate departments/programs were invited to nominate up to three projects (individual or group) for the Symposium. Not all departments/units claimed all three spots. In addition, nominated students were invited to contribute to this online collection of projects, but participation was optional. Therefore, not all departments/programs will feature the same number of projects.
If you are a department/program representative and do not see a project for a student or group you think should be included in the abstracts, please contact legacy@slu.edu. Please note, in the brief biography for each student, we have used gender-specific pronouns only when supplied by the student. Otherwise, we have opted for the gender-neutral "they/them/theirs."
