Drop a Class

Note: You may only drop a class until the drop deadline!

Until the drop deadline, through midnight on the sixth day of classes, you can drop classes from your schedule. When you drop a class, rather than withdraw, there is no record that you were ever enrolled. You do not receive any mark on your transcript. 

International students must consult with the international advisor before dropping or withdrawing from a class. This decision may impact your visa status.

To drop a course, simply log into courses@slu.edu, select the appropriate term/semester, then click on your Primary Cart. Select the class you'd like to drop, and click 'Remove from Cart.' Finally, click 'Submit Schedule' and 'Submit Registration' to finalize your changes.

If you want to remove a course after the drop deadline, you will need to withdraw from the class instead.
