Changes to Major, Minor, or Degree

Major and Minor Changes

If you are interested in adding, dropping, or changing a major or minor, contact your primary academic advisor to discuss the  update and complete the necessary steps. Before then:

• Review the program requirements and suggested roadmap for the major or minor that interests you in the Academic Catalog

• Use the 'What-If' Feature in DegreeWorks to see how previous coursework could apply to a new major or minor

  • • Enter the most current 'catalog year' for programs you have not yet added

Once You Meet with Your Advisor

Depending on your current school/college and the school/college of the program that interests you, your advisor may instruct you to complete one of the following to process the update:

• Program Application and Change Form

• Update to Student Curriculum Record 

Please consult your advisor before completing either of these forms. Additional steps may be required.

Moreover,  if the program you are seeking is outside your current school/college, your advisor will need to refer you to the appropriate program representative to complete the curriculum change process
