Phase 3 begins in academic year 2025-2026. It will involve multiple groups working on different activities, including pilot teams from academic units that volunteer.
Phase 3 will focus on:
Continuing to socialize and deepen awareness and understanding of SLU's Teaching Effectiveness Framework and its possible uses
Socializing awareness of the Guidelines on the Holistic Evaluation of Teaching (and related rubric templates)
Developing recommendations related to student feedback (including changes to Blue course feedback surveys and guidance for evaluators on how to use student feedback in formal evaluations)
Developing recommendations related to peer feedback (including how SLU will approach the collection of peer feedback and guidance for evaluators on how to use peer feedback in formal evaluations)
For academic units that opt in: Developing rubrics and piloting the Guidelines on Holistic Evaluation of Teaching
Learning from the pilot groups to refine expectations going forward and to prepare for full rollout of this work to all academic units
