Namrata Roy earned her dual-degree B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science, from the University of North Dakota and Principia College. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Saint Louis University. As a member of the CHROME Lab, she studies how in-house wearable devices can allow for more dynamic understanding of information conveyed digitally, such as charts and maps. Her research combines mechanical design, prototyping, and user-centered research to create devices that assist individuals with blindness and low vision obtain multimodal access to information.
