This is a plan for DBS Bank to move its services to the Cloud. The plan has eight phases.
A. Architecture Vision:
In the first phase, DBS Bank will create a vision for the Cloud migration. The focus will be on making the service more scalable and secure. DBS Bank will need to make sure everyone is working together, including IT teams and executives. The goal is to make sure the plan aligns with the bank's business goals, so it can be successful in the digital world.
B. Business Architecture:
The second phase is about making sure the Cloud migration will work well with DBS Bank's business strategy. DBS Bank will need to check how the migration will impact efficiency and cost, and how it can improve overall effectiveness. The bank will need to optimize processes and capabilities for better performance.
C. Information Systems Architecture:
In the third phase, DBS Bank will define the logical and physical architecture of the information systems. It will map out the existing information systems, including databases and data storage, and identify how they will be transformed or migrated to the Cloud.
D. Technology Architecture: The fourth phase is about choosing the right technology for implementing the information systems architecture at DBS Bank. The bank will need to choose a compatible cloud provider and define efficient data storage solutions.
E. Opportunities and Solutions:
In the fifth phase, DBS Bank will consider different options for the Cloud migration, such as rehosting, re-platforming, or rearchitecting. The bank will need to prioritize critical applications for rearchitecting and implement continuous optimization post-migration.
F. Migration Planning:
In the sixth phase, DBS Bank will create a plan for migrating its data to the Cloud. The plan will include a systematic sequence of tasks, prioritizing based on criticality and compliance considerations. The bank will need to estimate costs and create a detailed timeline.
G. Implementation Governance:
In the seventh phase, DBS Bank will create governance mechanisms for the Cloud migration plan. This will include defining roles, establishing communication channels, and deploying monitoring processes.
H. Architecture Change Management:
In the eighth and final phase, DBS Bank will create an adaptive process for overseeing architectural changes during the Cloud migration. This will include detecting any deviations, communicating necessary adjustments to stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth transition to the Cloud.
