This year, your child will be switching classes amongst four different teachers.  Mrs. Bowman teaches math, Mrs. Eason teaches science, Mrs. Guin teaches writing, grammar, and spelling, and Mrs. Luce teaches reading.  Our team is prepared to work together in an amazing way for your children. Listed below, you will find information about our collective policies as well as team information.  Please do not hesitate to contact any of us with any questions that you may have.  We all look forward to getting to know you and your children!

Communication:

You will be receiving a letter about communication through Class Dojo.  Please note that this will be one of our major ways of communicating with you about your child at school.  For example, you may receive notices about upcoming assignments or tests (this will not be the case for every test/quiz/assignment for every class), occasional pictures of what we are doing in class, your child's conduct details, etc. on Class Dojo.  In addition, please be aware of how you can access your child's grades through parent portal.  Your child's binder and subject folders will also contain important information as far as what their weekly spelling or vocabulary words are and their assignment sheets listing grades. Please sign assignment sheets weekly to indicate that you are aware of your child's grades for that week.  Last to be mentioned is email.  Please feel free to email any of us during the school day, and we will try our best to get back to you as soon as we can.  It is our hope that an open line of communication both to and from school will help to ensure that we all are cohesively involved in a joint effort to seeing your child succeed in our classrooms and in Slocum ISD in general.
