Scholarship Newsletters - Each week new scholarships will be posted. Students will need to open the scholarship application in the newsletters by clicking on the scholarship name.

The programs listed provide renewable tuition support to eligible Texas residents who have been accepted to the particular institution and have submitted any necessary financial aid documents. After opening the file, click on a specific program for more details.

Tommy Boerner Memorial Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to graduating seniors who will be attending college or trade school in the Fall of 2026.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through February 20, 2026.
Award Amount: One scholarship will be awarded in the amount up to $1000.
Selection Criteria: The scholarship is being awarded by the Cross Timbers Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

TREA Student Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: Any graduating senior from a TREA member school district who will be enrolled in a post graduate program, attending a technical school, or enlisting in the military the following school year. Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through March 3, 2026.
Award Amount: TREA may award up to 2 scholarships per district. Scholarship awards up to $2500 each.
Selection Criteria: Student is required to attend scholarship banquet June 15, 2026 if selected for the scholarship. Recipients will be notified in early-April.

Masonic Children and Family Services of Texas
Key Details:
Eligibility: All graduating high school seniors who are Texas residents and ready to pursue higher education are eligible to apply. Masonic affiliation is a positive factor considered during the selection process, but it is not a requirement.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their online applications through March 1, 2026.
Award Amount: $2500, 200 awards given annually
Application: This is an online only application. Visit the MCFS scholarship website for details and the application.
Wise County and Texas Farm Bureau Scholarships
Key Details:
Eligibility: Any graduating senior who will be enrolled in at least 12 hours of higher educated. Enrolled in an agricultural degree, certificate or technical diploma program and intend to pursue a career in agriculture. With the exception of the Wise County Farm Bureau Scholarships, the scholarship application process is online through a portal called MyTFB.
WCFB R.A. Pinkerton, Jr. Memorial Scholarship - applicant must reside in Wise County and parents cannot be employed or be a board member of the Wise County Farm Bureau. Parents cannot be an agent or employee of Texas Farm Bureau or Sothern Farm Bureau.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications ONLINE through March 2, 2026. To qualify for the Texas Farm Bureau scholarships, students/famiies must be TFB members. Wise County Scholarships are due in the Wise County office by 5:00 p.m. April 1, 2026.
Award Amount: Wise County Farm Bureau Agricultural Scholarship - one scholarship valued at $10,000; awarded up to eight disbursements of $1,250 per full-time semester. RA Pinkerton, Jr. Memorial Scholar - $1,000 will pay $500 each semester. *See TFB scholarship cover letter for details regarding those scholarships.
The Texas Farm Bureau scholarship opportunities have multiple scholarships with specific criteria that can be on the TFB Scholarships page.

Applications for the Wise County scholarships can be picked up from Mrs. Bradshaw (College and Career Counselor) or Mrs. Fortenberry. These include Wise County Farm Bureau/RA Pinkerton, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, and Wise County Farm Bureau Agricultural Scholarship.
Slidell Education Foundation Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: Current seniors at Slidell High School that will be enrolling in a college or trade/technical school in Fall 2026.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through March 13, 2026 to Mrs. Bradshaw.
Award Amount: Varies as there are many scholarship opportunities with this one application.
Selection Criteria: Students will be selected by the scholarship committee. Interviews with the scholarship committee is a requirement.
Application: Pick up a paper copy of the application from Mrs. Bradshaw or Mrs. Fortenberry.
First State Bank Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: Current seniors living in the bank service area (Wise and Denton counties) that will be enrolling in a college or trade/technical school in Fall 2026. Students do not have to have an account with First State Bank.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications online through March 13, 2026.
Award Amount: Multiple scholarships will be awarded totaling $12,000.
Application: This is an online only application. Access the application on the scholarship webpage.
Sharon Herzberg Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Decatur Library Foundation
Key Details:
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to Wise County seniors, volunteered at least 20 hours at the Decatur Public Library, minimum GPA of B- or better and will be enrolling in college, trade/technical school in Fall 2026.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through March 23, 2026 to the Decatur Library Foundation at 1700 S FM 51 Decatur.
Award Amount: One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000.
Selection Criteria: Interviews will be scheduled once the application deadline closes.
Application: Pick up a paper application from Mrs. Bradshaw or Mrs. Fortenberry.
Decatur Police Department Back the Blue Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to pursue a career in a Criminal Justice related field of study or an Emergency Service field of study. Studies may include, but not limited to, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Law, Nursing, etc.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through March 27, 2026 to the Decatur Police Department by 5:00 p.m.
Award Amount: One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.
Application: Pick up a paper application from Mrs. Bradshaw or Mrs. Fortenberry.
Wise County Antique Auto Club Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to Wise County seniors planning to attend college or a trade/technical school this fall.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through April 1, 2026. Applications must be postmarked by April 1. See application for address.
Award Amount: To be determined.
Selection Criteria: Students will be selected by the Wise County Antique Auto Club Scholarship Committee.

Texas Farmers Union Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: Open to all graduating high school seniors, college students, and individuals who will be continuing their education in either a two-year or four-year accredited college, university, or technical school for any area of study. Must obtain a TFU membership.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through April 1, 2026. Applications must be postmarked by April 1. See application for address.
Award Amount: $2000 *Recipients will be notified May 31, 2026.
Selection Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on academic records, social and community activities, a typed essay describing personal and professional goals, and any involvements with TFU and/or agriculture. A three-person committee appointed by the President of TFU will examine all entries and pick the winner of the scholarship.

Wise Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Key Details:
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to high school seniors who are the son or daughter, living at the residence of your parents or legal guardians who are members of the Wise Electric Cooperative, receiving electric service from the Cooperative at their permanent residence. Students must enroll in Fall 2025 to a college, university or trade school.
Application Process: Eligible applicants can submit their applications through April 6, 2026 to the Wise Electric Cooperative. Address is on the application.
Award Amount: Sixteen (16) scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,250 each.
