The UBHE Team is made up of an ambitious group of high school seniors in the San Leandro Academy for Multimedia at SLHS. For this year's Season of Service project, we wanted to focus on healthy eating. Our main goal is to create a project that spreads awareness about the unfair cost of eating healthy. We feel that the inability of low income families to buy healthy foods like fruits and vegetables often forces them to eat at a fast food restaurant. Here their hard earned dollar stretches farther in terms of meals than it does at the supermarket.
