It’s officially sweater weather season which is a huge deal in the world of fashion. So before the autumn leaves are swept away let’s dive into the latest trends come autumn/winter 2023.
1. Ribbons/Bows
Ribbons and bows have been slowly creeping up on us as a trending hair piece but are now being seen more recently than ever before. I'm sure we all remember the ‘Jojo Bow’ craze so before anyone starts panicking, let's clarify that this trend has made a much simpler comeback with more neutral colours such as: blacks, whites, browns and occasionally some baby pinks or navy blues.
2. Leg warmers
I think the 80’s version of this trend has made such a big dent in our heads that we were all left jaw dropped after reading that last heading. So I’m very glad to report that this next big thing in the world of autumn fashion has also been given a modern spin.
Leg warmers are now often worn in black or white and worn over leggings or tights.
3. Graphic T-Shirts
Graphic t-shirts are not specifically autumn wear but they definitely go well under a knitted cardigan or paired with some baggy jeans.
Which creates the perfect Autumn outfit for a cosy day in. There are also so many T-Shirts that can be
found to reflect your personality and personal style. Make a fashion statement and showcase your favourite movie or maybe even a famous quote or song lyric you like!
4. Uggs
It may be an obvious one as Uggs trend on an annual basis but the company is certainly not lacking in new styles or looks for these famous shoes.
So far we are seeing The Classic Ultra Mini Boot, Platform Boots and even a mix of both with the Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boot following us around this year. Uggs may be a statement piece in a classic Autumn outfit but let’s not forget the cost of shoes like these. There are many High Street alternatives to Uggs so don’t forget to explore your options to find the right fit for you.
