Italy Trip 2019

This April vacation, 12 SKHS students went to Italy with Lidia Carroll and Kelly Aubee on a 10-day tour! Our tour was shared with Narragansett High School students and teachers so we got to meet some new friends from RI as well.The students enjoyed experiencing their classes coming to life and, whether or not they had studied Italian prior to the trip, they spoke Italian daily to do things such as order un caffè at the local bar or AutoGrill and bargain shop at the local markets. They visited sites such as the Canal Grande of Venice, Romeo and Juliette's Verona, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, il Duomo e il Ponte Vecchio di Firenze, the beautiful hill-top town of Assisi, il Colosseo and Trevi Fountain of Roma, the Vatican museum, the ruins of Pompeii, they smelled the lemons and coastline of Sorrento and ultimately swam in the Mediterranean Sea on the Island of Capri! Che avventura! What an adventure!
