In the spring students may sign up to raise lamb market projects through the FFA on the school campus
SKFFA has a full service swine breeding program on campus where students can raise pigs from birth and learn about animal life cycles
For most classes, the FFA barn is incorporated into the curriculum to allow kids to experience learning outside of the traditional classroom
Interested in being a part of the SK barn community? Contact Mrs. Cook to learn more about the opportunities available and to get more information about what the agriculture department at South Kitsap is accomplishing at the community barn.
If you are interested in housing an animal project at the barn or participating in a market animal SAE, make sure you attend one of the interest meetings at the start of each semester to learn more about the program. At these meetings, an invite code to the Google Classroom is shared.
All important documents, updates and assignments required for participation in the barn program are posted and stored on this Google Classroom. The documents and announcements are only available to students who are participating in the market program.
