Masthope RFID Pass Renewal

Renew Your Masthope Property Owner Ski Privileges for Ski Big Bear

Members of Masthope Mountain Community in good standing receive skiing privileges for themselves by signing a waiver of liability at the start of each season. Every year, all Property Owners must re-register for these privileges. This portal will help you renew your pass for the winter season. To start, please select the option that applies to you. If you are not a Masthope Property Owner, please click here instead to visit our online store to make ticket and pass purchases.

FAQS & INFORMATION: PLEASE READ

WHAT IF I AM WITHIN IMMEDIATE FAMILY LINEAGE TO THE DEEDED PROPERTY OWNER, BUT I DO NOT (OR NO LONGER) HAVE A PROPERTY OWNER PASS?

If you are within immediate family lineage to the Deeded Owner, but you do not or no longer have a pass due to how lineage passes were allocated by the Property Owner, you are eligible for a discounted Ski Big Bear Season Pass at a rate of $200 (plus a $5 RFID card fee.) Only members of immediate family lineage to the Deeded Owner qualify. Immediate lineage to the Property Owner includes: Spouse, Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Parent, Grandparent, and Great Grandparent.

To receive this discount, you must first prove lineage at the POC Office with ID (marriage certificate or birth certificate) during normal business hours. Once verified, you will be directed over to the Customer Service windows at Ski Big Bear to pick up and pay for your pass. Please note: a $5 RFID card fee applies.

WHAT IF I ALREADY SUBMITTED A LINEAGE FORM, BUT I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES?

If you already submitted a lineage form, your passes have been processed and you cannot make additional changes to your lineage (with the exception of “life events” - marriage, new family members, etc.) until May of 2023. This includes switching out guest passes for owner passes.

WHAT IF I DID NOT SUBMIT A LINEAGE FORM?

If you did not submit a lineage form, you must do so before you register for ski privileges. Any cards you may have in your possession from prior ski seasons are canceled and are not eligible for renewal until a lineage form is received.

WHAT IF I CANNOT RENEW MY SKI PRIVILEGES ONLINE?

All ski passes must be processed online within your Ski Big Bear Account. If you followed the instructions on this portal and you are still having trouble, please stop into the POC Office during operating hours and staff can assist you with the online website. Please note: Ski Big Bear staff at customer service windows cannot assist with pass renewals. This must be done online or at the POC, so please plan accordingly and renew your passes in advance... do not wait until the day you wish to ski/ride.

WHAT IF I ARRIVE ONSITE AT SKI BIG BEAR WITHOUT A RENEWED PASS?

All ski passes must be processed online within your Ski Big Bear Account. If you arrive at the mountain and did not renew ski privileges in advance, please stop into the POC Office during operating hours and staff can assist you with the online website. If the office is closed, you will be required to complete your ski privileges online before accessing the mountain. Please note: Ski Big Bear staff at customer service windows cannot assist with pass renewals. This must be done online or at the POC, so please plan accordingly and renew your passes in advance... do not wait until the day you wish to ski/ride.

HOW DO GUESTS OF PROPERTY OWNERS RECEIVE DISCOUNTS ON DAILY LIFT TICKETS AND TUBING?

If purchasing tickets online, Property Owners can find a discount code in the their email confirmation after they renew their ski privileges. They can then share this code with guests to receive 25% off the regular daily lift ticket/tubing rate. Please note that this discount code should only be distributed to accompanied guests of the Property Owner. An acknowledgment signature on your ski waiver indicates you agree to this policy. If guests are purchasing tickets onsite, they must show a green Masthope Guest Pass to receive the discounted rate. Old guest passes will not be accepted.

CAN A GUEST USE A GREEN RFID GUEST PASS AS A LIFT TICKET?

No. Green RFID Guest Passes cannot be used as lift tickets. A guest pass can be shown at a ticket window to receive a discount on daily tickets, however only a Ski Big Bear branded lift ticket card can be used by guests of Property Owners to access the mountain.

HOW DO PROPERTY OWNERS RECEIVE DISCOUNTS ON TUBING?

Just like last season, a 50% discount will automatically be applied on tubing tickets at checkout for all Property Owner RFID cards renewed for this season.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PASS IS LOST?

Lost passes can only be replaced at the POC Office during operating hours. Pass replacement is $10. If the POC office is closed, Ski Big Bear reserves the right to charge for a discounted daily lift ticket in the interim at their discretion.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHY MY PASS/WEBCODE IS NOT WORKING?

If your pass/webcode is not working and you cannot renew your privileges, it was most likely canceled due to one of the following reasons:

  • Pass is missing or lacks an appropriate photo - Email a new photo to accesscontrol@masthope.org

  • An updated deed was not provided to the POC Office

  • There is a balance on the Property Owner account

  • There may be a problem with the level of access granted on the pass

  • Passes were suspended due to misuse of pass or member in poor standing

All Masthope pass related questions can be directed towards accesscontrol@masthope.org or by calling the POC Office at 570-685-4790. Do not call the ski office.
