At the High School, I am currently teaching Studio art, Drawing and Painting I-!V, Photography I-IV, Art History and Digital Art an Design. My inspiration for the arts came from my high school art and photography teachers who gave me a safe place to be myself, create and learn. Teaching the fine arts for 25 years, I have worked hard to carry on their traditions and to inspire students with art and culture. As Albert Einstein once said, " Creativity is intelligence having fun ".
At Skaneateles High School, I teach Studio Art, Drawing & Painting I-IV, Ceramics I-IV, and International Foods and Culture. Being an alumnus of Skaneateles myself, I am especially honored to teach in this supportive, creative environment that offers such a broad range of artistic opportunities for students. My classroom emphasizes experiential learning, individualized expression, and the inclusion of artistic inspiration from diverse artists, cultures, and identities. Students will create, present, respond, and connect to works of art from a spectrum of eras, periods, and materials.
