Self-Reporting Transcripts

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE...THIS TAKES TIME!

"SRAR" - Self Reported Aademic Record

Many of the large, public colleges will have students self-report transcripts. This means the Guidance Office will NOT send any transcripts on behalf of the student during the application process.

The SRAR is separate from the application. Once a student applies to the college, they will receive a link from the college directing them to the SRAR. Typically, students have two weeks to complete the SRAR.

The good news is, some college systems share the SRAR portal, so you may get lucky and only have to fill one out and use it for multiple schools.

If admitted and enrolled, the Guidance Office will send the official transcript for verification. It is very important to accurately report the SRAR as discrepancies could jeopardize your admissions offer.

Tips for reporting courses:

  • Make sure you have a copy of your transcript in front of you when completing the SRAR. The course names, class level, credits earned and grades should all match. A copy of your transcript can be found in SCOIR in your My Profile/My Drive

  • Courses are full year/one year at SJV - so select the option of "Block" or "Full-year"

  • If SRAR only allows semester entry of grades (ex. FL colleges) - then enter your final grade twice, once for fall and once for spring. Do not enter MP1 & MP2 grades - transcripts don't show those grades. Only final grades show on transcripts.

  • Senior classes should be listed as "In Progress"

  • Depending on the SRAR, +/- grades may need to be dropped - ex, B+, B- would be listed as B

  • Any DE class should be listed as it would appear on the BCC/GCU/Seton Hall transcript. How to report DE classes
