The following scholarships are available to professional year (p1-p4) pharmacy students. Read the directions and apply through the link. Students may apply for more than one scholarship but because scholarships are limited, the likelihood of one student receiving multiple scholarships is low.
The Walgreens Inclusion Award Scholarship A student must demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to advancing inclusion in the pharmacy profession, driving health equity and high-quality patient care in a community setting. The Walgreens Multilingual Scholarship is awarded to a student who is fluent in one or more languages besides English and actively involved in promoting and embracing collaboration across different cultural groups. ACME/Albertsons Community Pharmacy Scholarship Eligible students are P2-P4 students, GPA of "B" or higher, currently working in community pharmacy with career interest in community practice. Preference given to students ACME/Albertson's current interns. Interested students will submit a 200-300 word essay describing the important impact community pharmacists can have on the care of patients and your plans to work in community pharmacy at graduation. The Renee (Benton) Lupo Memorial Scholarship. Established by PCP alumnus Louis J. Lupo, this scholarship is for one or more FEMALE Philadelphia College of Pharmacy student with financial need from New Jersey. Preference will be given to students with interests in either veterinary pharmacy or compounding pharmacy. Interested FEMALE students from NJ will submit a 200-300 word essay describing their interest compounding or veterinary pharmacy. One award will be given. Apply HERE.
The Mindy Semanyk Resource Scholarship. Funds will be used to provide students with funds to pay for books, lab fees, supplies, equipment, travel, etc. – anything BUT tuition. Funds will be provided to a Philadelphia College of Pharmacy student (s) in good academic standing; with demonstrated financial need; from the Philadelphia area (Philadelphia and surrounding counties, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Camden, NJ)) ; and demonstrates leadership qualities. The Pharm-Mor Pharmacy Scholarship. An endowed scholarship awarded annually to a P3 or P4 student pharmacist who has demonstrated financial need and who intends to practice in a community or retail setting upon graduation. Interested students will submit a 200-300 word essay describing their interest in pursuing a career in community or retail pharmacy. One award will be given. Apply HERE.
The PDE Everett Marsh scholarship is awarded to an academically gifted student who has financial need, has been heavily involved in campus pharmacy organizations and is a potential asset to the pharmacy profession. Interested students will submit a 200-300 word essay describing their involvement in campus organizations and how they are a potential asset to the profession. One award will be given. Apply HERE.
