Our annual School Olympics will be held on a date to be determined, at the track field at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Do not come to St. John's that morning. Go directly to WLC's Raabe Stadium at 8:00 AM. Events for the day should be wrapped up by approximately 2:30PM.
In order for this day to be successful and to run smoothly, a good amount of help with chaperoning, timing, measuring, recording, scoring, etc. will be needed from parents at our school Olympics. None of these tasks require any special abilities or skills, just willing hands. If you can help out with any of the events (such as timers, measurers, scorers, recorders, etc.) or classroom chaperones, please complete the following volunteer form.
If there is inclement weather the morning of the Olympics, an email will be sent out by 6:30 AM as to whether the Olympics will take place or not, so be sure to check your email or social media. If you do not have access to the internet or social media, please call the school office (258-4214) to find out for sure whether or not the event will be cancelled. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, students will report to school and the Olympics will be held on a date to be determined. In the event of rain , students will again report to school.
In the event of inclement weather during the Olympics, if the faculty decides that concluding the event early is the best course of action, it is crucial to have guidance from parents concerning each child's transportation from the track and field facility. Please inform your classroom teacher of your plans should this situation arise.
