The Department of Audiology at San José State University offers the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree program. Our program is a 4-year course of study that includes academic courses, clinical rotations, and a doctoral research project (110 units total). Class sizes are small to facilitate faculty-student interaction. Our off-campus clinical rotations will take place in a variety of public and private clinical settings to allow students to train under experienced audiologists in our community.

PhD Programs
The Pharmaceutical & Translational Sciences (PHTS) Program brings together – under one umbrella – the School’s three laboratory-based PhD programs, allowing a more cohesive interdisciplinary experience advancing education and innovative research. This doctoral training program prepares students for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and advanced scientific research in a broad range of settings.
The PhD program in Health Economics is housed at the Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics, one of the leading health policy centers in the nation. Graduates of this program are highly sought for their solid interdisciplinary background in theoretical and empirical research.
Master of Science Programs
Three multidisciplinary master’s degree programs that include: Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology Program, and the Pharmaceutical Sciences Program, offer students a unique advantage to engage and collaborate.
The Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy is offered jointly with the Department of Economics and the USC Price School of Public Policy. Master’s students are trained to use pharmacoeconomics and assessment techniques in practical decision-making environments.
