The MSE degree is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide flexibility for students who need coursework that is interdisciplinary and not available through the other engineering programs in the college. The MSE program typically includes courses from at different programs in the College of Engineering, and may also use courses in the College of Science or the College of Business. The MSME program at SJSU enrolls both new students and working professionals and prepare them for the challenges they face in the Silicon Valley industry. Courses and scholarly activities are offered in areas such as fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, rigid-body dynamics, vibrations, modal analysis, finite element methods, computer-aided mechanical engineering design and optimization, controls and manufacturing engineering, and mechatronics systems engineering.

The Berkeley MEng is a two-semester accelerated program that strives to develop engineering leaders who are able to draw equally on their managerial and technical strengths, as they tackle major technological challenges and create innovative solutions in real-world settings.
We accept applications once per year for a fall semester program start. The Berkeley MEng application opens in September and is due Thursday, January 6, 2022 for Fall 2022 enrollment.
