You've completed your EDCO program of study! Now that you've submitted your last final, taken cap and gown selfies with friends, and walked the stage, you can start getting prepared for what happens next. Please read the relevant sections below so that you know what you will need to do.

Commencement is a celebratory ceremony to recognize the achievement of graduation.
Degree Conferral marks the end of the university's official process for validating the completion of all degree requirements and awarding a student's degree.

When will my degree be conferred?
When will my degree be conferred?
For those earning an MA in Counseling & Guidance, degree conferral does not begin until at least one month after the commencement ceremony takes place:
Late January/February for Fall graduates
Late June/July for Spring graduates
Late August/September for Summer graduates
Once your degree is conferred, you will be able to see it on MySJSU, but it may still be a few weeks before you receive your diploma in the mail.
How do I get my credential and/or associate number?
How do I get my credential and/or associate number?
For those who completed a school counseling credential pathway and/or preparation for clinical counseling. You will need to apply for your Pupil Personnel Services School Counseling (PPS-SC) credential through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Applications for Associate in Professional Clinical Counseling (APCC) status are submitted to the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
