Buzz Gloves are an innovative treatment device for those living with tremors, developed with Parkinson's in mind.
Berrien County People with Parkinson's (PwP), reached out to the Average Joes in 2023 about the possibility of these devices. Lead by Elizabeth Fisbeck - now Average Joes Alumni - this small idea started growing.
After many prototypes tested by local Parkinson's patients, Average Joes developed a device that is ready to be shared. We hope that we can spread this affordable and non-invasive therapy device to anyone who needs it around the world.
Thank you to our anonymous donor who is making these gloves possible. Without them, we wouldn't be able to fund this initiative.

Beginning her journey with St. Joe Robotics as early as 2nd grade, Elizabeth quickly distinguished herself, dedicating her passion for innovation to solving real-world problems. Throughout her years in the program, she has developed and championed countless initiatives - from running our FLL Discover program to developing a State Championship Impact Team - showcasing profound empathy to the program. Among these groundbreaking projects are the Buzz Gloves, a testament to her continuing commitment to community impact.
The inspiration for the widespread Buzz Glove initiative crecendoed in 2023, during Elizabeth's sophomore year. She met with members of the Berrien County People with Parkinson's (PWP) after the group discovered a video of prototype gloves. Since that time, she has meticulously planned, collaboratively developed, and successfully launched the Average Joes' Buzz Glove initiative, dedicating countless hours toward its execution.
Elizabeth's dedication has transformed into a tangible source of support for the Parkinson's community, demonstrating her ability to bridge a robotics program with direct human benefit - increasing the quality of life.
As Elizabeth approached her graduation in 2025, marking the culmination of her dedicated high school career, her legacy within St. Joe Robotics was firmly established. She embodies the spirit of our program – one of continuous learning, impactful creation, and unwavering community engagement. We are immensely proud to call Elizabeth a Joe, knowing that Once a Joe, Always a Joe truly reflects her enduring connection to our program's values and her continued potential to innovate and inspire beyond graduation.
