As the latest batch of cadets along with their predecessors entered Saint Joseph Institute of Technology - Maritime and Training (SMET) campus for their second semester, a reorientation session was carried out particularly discussing the maritime academy’s rules and regulations last January 13.
Led by the newly seated guidance counselor, Ms. Alyzza Fabe, the activity's focus revolved on the specifics on the academic building, dormitel and other academy internal affairs.
Various rules and regulations such as dormitel rules, academic building rules and other agenda like the marcher system familiarization, reintroduction of the Layag Publication and clarification for monetary penalties in violations were all discussed by the Dorm Master, Midshipmen Fleet Officers, and the editor-in-chief of the said publication respectively.
Alongside the discussions were the interaction between the presiders and the SMET attendees which sought to clarify each area especially for the freshmen who were just accustomed to the environment.
