Welcome to Troupe 8244!

Friday Harbor's Troupe 8244 is a vibrant community of passionate thespians dedicated to the art of theatre. Throughout the school year, we engage in an array of exciting activities that enrich our theatrical experience and strengthen our bond as a troupe.

• Weekly Meetings: Every week, our members gather to discuss upcoming events, plan performances, and engage in creative exercises that hone our skills.

• Fundraisers: We organize various fundraisers to support our productions and activities, ensuring we have the resources to connect our students with opportunities that deepen their skills, understanding, and passion for the arts.

• Performances: Our troupe helps with the two major shows each year, alternating between a play and a musical, giving our members the chance to shine on stage in diverse roles. We have organized cabaret performances and have discussed the possibility of staged readings and student-directed one act festivals!

• Improv Nights: These spontaneous and fun-filled evenings allow us to think on our feet, improve our improvisational skills, and enjoy lots of laughter.

• Karaoke: A favorite among our members, karaoke nights are a chance to showcase our vocal talents and unwind in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

• Competitions: We proudly participate in regional, state, and international competitions, where we showcase our talents and learn from other talented thespians.

• Broadway Bookclub: We have partnered with the San Juan Island Library to offer a book club for our theatre enthusiasts to broaden their horizons and gather material. We meet twice a month to read and then watch a play.
