3D FORMS

Three-dimensional (3D) forms in art involve the creation of objects that have height, width, and depth, adding a tangible, spatial element to artistic expression. Various mediums and techniques are used to bring these forms to life. 

• Sculpture: Perhaps the most direct representation of 3D art, sculpture involves shaping and manipulating materials such as clay, stone, metal, wood, or even found objects into three-dimensional forms. Sculptors use carving, modeling, casting, and assemblage techniques to create a physical presence in space.

• Ceramics: Artists working with ceramics create 3D forms through techniques like hand-building, wheel throwing, and molding. These forms are often fired in a kiln to achieve permanence. Ceramics can range from functional vessels to purely artistic, abstract sculptures.

• Installation Art: Installation art encompasses large-scale, immersive artworks that transform the viewer's perception of a space. Artists use a combination of materials, light, sound, and sometimes interactive elements to create a three-dimensional experience.
