Friday (05.09) - You will work in small groups to learn about conflict management and conflict resolution. To have an effective conversation, please be honest in your interventions.
Tuesday (04.29) - We will finally go over real taxes and how the everyday American files them. Please follow along and fill out the form carefully. If we have enough time, we will start working on the car maintenance workshop.
Thursday (05.01) - We will go over some basic information regarding car maintenance before heading out to put all these things into practice.
Tuesday (04.01) - We will go over credit scores, credit reports, and the cost of bad credit. Please refer to the assignment posted on Canvas.
Thursday (04.03) - We are going to go over some basic terms regarding taxes, what they are, and how they work in America. Then, we will start breaking down what they would look like on your paycheck.
Monday (03.24) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! We will finish the presentations regarding the Dress Code. Then, we will start our Financial Literacy unit by working on a simulation that shows you the tough decisions most people must make when living paycheck to paycheck. Then, we will test your knowledge of Financial Literacy vocabulary.
Wednesday (03.26) - First, we will review the vocabulary you worked on last class and practice writing and depositing a check. Then, you will complete a video scavenger hunt on the basic knowledge you should have about personal finance.
Friday (03.28) - We will start with a vocabulary game to review important financial literacy terms. Then, we will work on the first budgeting simulation (the bean game)
Tuesday (03.18) - We will first go over all the laundry symbols you had to research, and then we will go over some useful laundry tips. Finally, we will start a dress code research task.
Thursday (03.20) - We will go over how to tie a tie, how to fold a fitted sheet and how to iron. Then, you will have the rest of the class to finish your dress code research slide.
Tuesday (03.11) - We will continue working on our sewing project today. Please make sure you secure the stitches so no rice comes out when you shake your project.
Friday (03.14) - We will start with a brief talk about doing laundry. Then, we will finish our sewing project. Please take a look at the rubric to make sure you get all possible points.

Monday (01.06) - Welcome back Mustangs, and welcome to Life Skills! We’ll start with a brief brainstorming exercise to enrich the topics we’ll cover this semester, and we will go over the course syllabus.
Wednesday (01.08): We’ll jump right into our first mini-unit: leadership. Please remember that you must save all worksheets and handouts since we will put together a course portfolio this semester. We'll watch the short TED Talk' Everyday Leadership' and work on gathering useful information from it.
