Wednesday (05.21) - You will have the whole period to work on your travel plans. Please take a look at the rubric to make sure you include all required information. 

Friday (05.23) - Please continue working on your travel plan. You must be almost done by the end of the period. Please prepare to present your work to the class on the day of our final. 

Tuesday (05.13) - We will continue working on the Human Geo concepts found in the movie Zootopia. Once we finish the movie, we will go over some of the themes you identified. 

Thursday (05.15) - I will explain the final activity for this year: A travel pitch. All requirements will be posted on Canvas. 

Monday (05.05) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! It's the day before the test, so we will stop all review and play a game of 'would you rather...?' AP edition. 

Wednesday (05.07) - We will start working on the first of two activities before the end of the school year. We will watch the movie 'Zootopia' and you will have to identify concepts and themes of Human Geography. 

Friday (05.09) - We will continue working on the 'Zootopia' activity. If we have enough time, we will go over the answers. 

Monday (04.08) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! It's the final stretch, and we're almost there!!! We will start our review packet. To do this, you will only use your notes from your binder and book. Today, we will just focus on unit 1. 

Wednesday (04.09) - We will go over the answers for units 1 and 2. Then, we will continue working on unit 3. 

Friday (04.11) - We will go over the answers for unit 3. Then, we will continue working on Unit 4. 

Tuesday (04.01) - You will first take the unit 6&7 MCQ and Vocabulary test. Then, please continue working on your SDG summary cube. 

Thursday (04.03) - We will start with a quick vocabulary review game. Then, we will set up and start working on our review packet. 

Our first AP Study session is this Saturday (03.29) from 9 AM to 1 PM. Please sign up to bring a snack to share with the class. 

Tuesday (03.11) - You will work on a Quizlet to practice this unit's vocab. Then, we will review topics 7.1-7.2, so please complete your notes. 

Thursday (03.13) - Career Day!

Friday (03.14) - We will start with a card sorting activity related to the different economic sectors. Then, please work on topics 7.3 and 7.4 lecture notes. 

Tuesday (03.04) - We will finish working on some Unit 6 MCQ and FRQs, and set up unit 7's reading guides and vocabulary. 

Friday (03.07) - Each team will present their original city and answer some related questions. Then, you will work on a quick video assignment related to the Industrial Revolution. If we have enough time, we will go over topics 7.1 through 7.3.

Monday (02.24) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! I will first check your homework and then we will work on an FRQ based on the content of this unit. Finally, you will have some time to work on your final project for this unit: Building your own city!

Wednesday (02.26) - First we will check the homework (FRQ 5) and then we will work on some MCQ practice questions. You will then continue to work on your original city project. By the end of today, you should have started to map it out on paper. 

Friday (01.28) - Once again, we will work on some Unit 6 MCQ practice questions. You will then continue to work on your original city project. By the end of today, you should have started to map it our on paper. 

Monday (02.10) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! We will go over topics 6.1 through 6.3 so please make sure you complete your lecture notes. 

Wednesday (02.12) - We will start with a brief vocabulary activity to prepare for the test. Then, we will go over topics 6.4 and 6.5 so please complete your guided lecture notes. 

Friday (02.14) - Happy Valentine's Day!! - We will start with a brief map simulation related to urbanization and urban development. Then, we will continue working on our reading guides. By the end of this period, read the textbook and complete topic 6.8. 

Tuesday (02.05) - You will take the Unit 5 MCQ and FRQ test. Then, we will set up unit 6 in our binder and work on this unit's vocabulary bank. If we have enough time, please get a head start on your reading assignment of topic 6.1. 

Thursday (02.07) - We will go over topics 6.1 and 6.2 so please complete your lecture notes. 

Monday (01.27) - Happy Monday, Geographers! We will first watch a recap video about women in Agriculture. Then, we will go over topics 5.11 and 5.12 so please complete your study guides. If we have enough time, we will go over the MCQs and FRQs we have not finished. 

Wednesday (01.29) - We will review unit 5 by playing Jeopardy! If we have enough time, we will go over the rest of the MCQ answers. 

Friday (01.31) - We will set up unit 6 and write down the vocabulary bank. Then, you will work on a Crash Course task and finally, you will have some independent study time in which you'll have to make sure all your lecture notes for Unit 5 are completed. Please remember that your unit test is next week. 

Tuesday (01.14) - We will review the Unit 5 vocabulary for 10 minutes. Then, we will go over topics 5.6 and 5.7 so please complete your lecture notes. Then, we will work on an FRQ about Types of Agriculture and another one about the Columbian Exchange.

Thursday (01.16) - You will first take the Unit 5 vocabulary test. Good luck! Then, I will go over one more FRQ and topic 5.8 and we will do a brief simulation about the Von Thunen Model of Agriculture. 

Monday (01.06) - Welcome back, Mustangs! We will start this semester with a Trivia challenge. Then, we will set up the vocabulary for Unit 5 and check topic 5.1.

Wednesday (01.08) -  We will start with a brief task and activity. Please match the image to the correct definition and term in your groups. Then, we will cover topics 5.3 and 5.4, and discuss the different ways the Columbian exchange affected the 'new world'. 

Friday 901.10) -  We will first watch a crash course video about the importance of the Agriculture and how it shapes human civilizations. Then, you will research the 4 main agricultural revolutions. 

Tuesday (12.03) - Welcome back, Geographers! We will start with a brief vocabulary practice task to prepare for the quiz you have on Friday. Then, we will go over topics 4.3 through 4.5 and check your understanding of them. Please complete your lecture notes.

Monday (11.18) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! We'll first go over the Friendsgiving sign-up sheet, and organize Unit 4 reading and lecture notes. Then we'll complete lecture notes for topic 4.1: Intro to Political Geography 

Wednesday (11.20) - We will start with a brief map practice task. Then, I will go over topics 4.2 and 4.3.

Friday (11.22) - Special Day!! - We are celebrating the Presentation of the Child Mary to the Temple. Please join us to Mass wearing your full dress uniform. If we have enough time, we will work on topic 4.4 and a worksheet regarding the Shape of States. 

Tuesday (11.12) - We will continue practicing FRQs and MCQs today in preparation for the end-of-unit test next week. 

Thursday (11.14) - We will set up the vocabulary list for unit 4. Then, you will complete the World Religion Summary Chart based on the information in the infographics. Please add this to your binder. 

Monday (11.04) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! We will quickly review any pending topics we did not cover last class. Then, you will continue working on creating an infographic about one world religion. 

Wednesday (11.06) - We will put all our infographic posters up on the walls and you will go on a walk around the classroom to complete your World Religions summary chart. Then, we will work on some FRQs related to this unit.

Friday (11.08) - We will continue practicing FRQs and MCQs today in preparation for the end-of-unit test next week.

Monday (10.21) - Happy Monday, Geographers! Today is an independent work day. Please continue reading and completing your notes for topics 3.4 and 3.5. The online version of the book is posted. 

Wednesday (10.23) - We will discuss different types of diffusion. We'll start with a brief video that goes over the main characteristics of each, and then we'll explore these concepts through food by going over some McDonald's menu items in different countries. Please complete your summary chart as you go through each station. 

Tuesday (10.15) - We will start our third unit by going over the main elements of culture (Topic 3.1). Please take notes as we go through the slides. Then, you will work on a diagram that shows the location of early cultural hearths and you'll do some independent research on how Ethnicities are the building blocks of Culture. 

Thursday (10.17) - We will review topics 3.1 and 3.2, and check your homework. Then, you will get a chance to share your findings about Ethnicities and the building blocks of culture. 

Monday (10.07) - Happy Monday, Geographers! We will start with a brief vocabulary activity and then continue working on our MCQ practice. 

Wednesday (10.09) - Making connections is super helpful in understanding a topic. We will complete a hexagonal thinking assignment using the vocabulary from Unit 2, in which you would have to explain how these are connected and come up with examples and clear reasons. Please follow the instructions carefully, this will help you prepare for the test. 

Friday (10.11) - We will start with the Unit 2 MCQ Test. Then, we will set up unit 3, complete the vocab task, and agree on a date for your vocab test. 

Tuesday (10.01) - First, we'll finish going over the scenarios to practice the different types of migration. Then, we will go over the answers to the Crash Course homework assignment. Finally, we will read and complete the notetaking guide for topic 2.12.

Thursday (10.03) - You will first take the Unit 2 vocab quiz. Then, we will work on answering some MCQs and FRQs about this unit. 

Monday (09.23) - Happy Monday, Mustangs! We will review some major population policies from around the world. Then, you will work on a video research assignment posted on Canvas. Please watch each short video and answer the questions on the Google Form. 

Wednesday (09.25) - We will start with a brief vocabulary practice task. Then, we will quickly review topics 2.8 and 2.9 and work on FRQs related to this unit.

Friday (09.27) - We'll start today's class with a simulation. Then, we will continue working on the FRQs. 

Tuesday (09.17) - We will review the Demographic Transition Model, which you should have read about in your homework assignment. Then, we will practice what we just learned using a drag-and-drop simulation of the DTM. Finally, we will check the correct answers,  and you will have some time to complete your summary chart. Please take a look at the additional resources posted, they will help you review this model. 

Thursday (09.19) - We will review the DTM once again, this time in your teams at your tables. Then, we'll quickly go over topics 2.6 and 2.7 so we can practice our FRQ skills. 

Tuesday (09.03) - We are going to watch a small video that explains the difference between Site and Situation of a place. Then, we will look at some scenarios to practice what we have just learned. Then, we will go over topic 1.4. 

Thursday (09.05) - We will start with a brief map practice. Then, we will go over Free Response Questions (FRQs) so you know what to expect during the AP tests. 

Tuesday (08.27) - We will start by checking topic 1.1 and writing down this unit's essential vocabulary. Then, I will quickly go over the 5 themes of geography and their importance in everything we will study this year. If we have enough time, I will also quickly explain the TODALS and their role in understanding and reading maps.  

Thursday (08.29) - We will first try to determine what is a continent. Then, I will go over topics 1.2 and 1.3 and any pending assignments we did not finish last class. Finally, we will complete a brief assignment to understand the difference between site and situation. 

Tuesday (08.13) - Welcome to AP Human Geography! To learn and discuss all of the patterns and processes that are the content of this class, we first need to know where everything is. In small groups, please put together the NatGeo World map. Then, we will talk a bit about this class and what to expect for this year.  

Thursday (08.15) - We will first watch a short intro video explaining what is Human Geography. Then, you will work in teams to learn about The Geospatial Revolution!
