This artifact was a final project white paper submission for current topics in adult education and training course at Saint Joseph's College. It describes the culmination of all the techniques used throughout the length of the program to develop a training program, implement, and evaluate it. I learned the format of writing a few informal articles as well as how to craft a scientific approach to writing a white paper. I also had to elicit feedback from colleagues and consider using their recommendations to improve upon the article. These reasons satisfy standards 3.1, “Solicit input from appropriate parties throughout the process including problem or opportunity identification, developmental testing of the solution’s elements, and ongoing evaluation and maintenance” and 7.3, “Regularly report adoption, trends, and improvements” since it reports upon these aspects (International Society for Performance Improvement, 2017). Now that I’ve completed one white paper, I feel the second white paper I produce will be more streamlined and my understanding between a white paper and a scientific article will be improved. Following feedback from colleagues, I will continue to seek their input on projects, especially when my name or the School’s interests are at stake. I need to be able to better determine appropriate reporting mechanisms and venues to accept this information for future publications.
