This artifact is a self-assessment evaluation rubric for peer tutors involved in the Tutoring Program at Geisel. It was chosen to show my assessment ability when tied with programmatic objectives and learning outcomes to enhance tutor training sessions. This artifact satisfies standard 6.1, “Collect data to compare interim results at predetermined milestones with baseline data or goal accomplishment data (target)” since it promotes self-assessment for the tutor themselves, so they may continue improving their teaching skills (International Society for Performance Improvement, 2017). The rubric and evaluation taught me the value of feedback and using it for program improvement in the training session. For improvement, I will gain new insights through consulting colleagues and continuously tweaking the rubric using new insights from the literature to better match program and training objectives.
