This artifact is a yearly presentation of data from the Geisel School of Medicine Tutoring Program. This is a program I manage, and I chose to assess to provide myself and my team with qualitative and quantitative feedback for yearly programmatic improvement and increased tutee efficacy. It was chosen to demonstrate data presentation and assessment skills. This artifact satisfies standards 2.3, “Identify the desired results, baseline measures, and organizational constraints” 3.1, “Solicit input from appropriate parties throughout the process including problem or opportunity identification, developmental testing of the solution’s elements, and ongoing evaluation and maintenance”, “Document the design of the solution including its elements, the resources required to develop and implement the elements, how and when developmental testing will be conducted, and the implementation strategy” 4.2, “Develop or acquire the solution’s elements, enabling infrastructure, and support pieces required to ensure parties are engaged, informed, and have what they require to adopt any new behaviors or support” 6.2, “Analyze the data collected to measure change, improvement, and trends” and 7.2, “Use ongoing performance data to improvement elements or the infrastructure” (International Society for Performance Improvement, 2017). The presentation and data collection process taught me how to analyze data and the important aspects that should be presented to the stakeholders. For improvement, I will continue to seek feedback from colleagues and stakeholders in identifying the important topics to know for improvement, and build upon the current data base that exists to continue analyzing trends in tutoring techniques and tutee demographics.
