Spina Bifida Awareness Month is in October, and this is something very important to me. I have two very special ladies in my life who are facing this disability. My niece, who is now excelling in college, and a very special fourth grader who is a champion in every way, including mastering her times table facts (math plug).
You can find much better information from the Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA) and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, as they are the main resources on different programs offered. Here are their websites:
ISBA - i-sba.org
Lurie's - www.luriechildrens.org
Something very special is planned in Room 31 on October 31st. All classes will be participating, and all staff are welcome to attend. All that can be promised is that we will have some very "mathoween" events. Don't be afraid. 😦 😧🫣🎃
