It all starts with God. Pope Leo not only is from Chicago, he started as a math teacher. Room 31 will hang this flag with pride! 😉⛪✝️

I love my family. I love my friends. I love all my thousands of students I have been with. Room 31 is full of memories from so many awesome experiences. I want to add many, many more here at SJB
In addition, I have a special place in my heart for those with Special Needs and the challenges their families face daily. Two special ladies in my life have Spina Bifida and a very special friend of mine has a child who is Autistic. They are true HEROES to me️ ♥️🧑🧑🧒🧒🎒
USA
One of the many things I am so thankful from God is that we live in the greatest country in the world. Life is always a challenge, but living in the United States is a great gift.
All in room 31 will see my appreciation every day, in addition to each morning with the pledge, Red, White, and Blue all over the room, Veterans' Day, my Navy materials, etc. God Bless the USA 🇺🇲 👍
Math
Math is the best class ever. My mission is to prove this to the world, or to start, at SJB in room 31. Hopefully, Pope Leo will help me on this. 📐📏❌
We even have our own holiday, Pi Day (3/14). Room 31 will be celebrating in style. ℼ 🥧
Teamwork
All things are possible with a team. Room 31 will build on this. From MJ to Caitlin, plus Simone proves that you can be a once-in-a-generation champion and not even 5ft tall 🥇🤸
Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers are my team. Perhaps it is true that Uecker is helping us in 2025. Sports of any type are always welcome in room 31 ⚾🥎🏀🏈⚽🏒🏐
Recycling
This has been a major focus of my entire life, but I pushed programs while teaching from basic paper/cardboard to plastics/cans and milk cartons.
I expanded into electronics with printer toner and an entire Western Cook County school e-waste collection event, which collected tons of e-waste that schools did not know what to do with. In Room 31, our recycling bin will be used daily. ♻️ 🖥️📃
Travel
Traveling is my most enjoyable activity. From the East Coast to the West Coast, Florida, and all places in between. In Room 31, please feel free to share your travel experiences.✈️🚉🚗
The 80s
We are the best generation. All who enter room 31 will need to hear for themselves every single day. From rock, pop, movie themes, sports anthems, everything is appreciated and enjoyed.
I am also a big Chicago guy and love music and movies from our state/city. Reo Speedwagon, Chicago, Styx, Cheap Trick, Survivor, and of course, the Blues Brothers will be a big part of our playlists. 🎸🎷 🥁
