8th Grade Social Studies

Homework: 

1. -Students create a Drawing of the activity or activities they had done over the summer. Then after completion they must create a 10 line Poem about their summer. (Due August 20th)

2. -Students Will complete a Vocabulary Crossword and Word search worksheet to further knowledge of history. (Due August 21)

3. -Have HT2 and HT3 completed by August 22. 

4. Students will look for 3 key terms from the section 1 chapter, define the keywords then write the three important people of the chapter and what they did that was significant.  

5. Gain At least two facts about " An Antislavery party"  on page 483 and " A Bitter Debate" on page 484. Once Complete please Complete the two Political Cartoon questions on page 483. 

6. Have note on the section 2 and please make sure that there are two notes per headline in the section.  This can be located on page 486. 

7. Compelte Critical Thinking question on page 488. 3 costs, 3 benefits. 

8. Complete notes on compromise Fail. Page 489-491.  Antebellum_Events 3,4,5 

9. Complete Page 491 Questions: 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3, 4

10. Have Notes on Uncle Toms Cabin Finished. 

11. COmplete notes on Crisis Deepens. pages 494-497.  THe once complete move on to Questions on page 498: 1ab, 2ab, 3ab, 4, and 5. 

12. Complete Notes on "The coming of Civil War" and Questions: 1ab,2ab,4,5 on page 503. 

13. Take Home quiz due Monday 15th
