-Students create a Drawing of the activity or activities they had done over the summer. Then after completion they must create a 10 line Poem about their summer. (Due August 20th)

6th Grade – Foundations of Government Starting Monday, 22-Due Date September 29
Project Idea 1: Create Your Own Country
Students design a fictional country and decide:
Type of government (democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, etc.)
Laws, rights of citizens, and responsibilities of leaders
A flag and national symbols that reflect their government’s values
Deliverable: Poster, slideshow, or brochure presentation
Project Idea 2: Government Comparison Chart
Students research two governments (e.g., Ancient Greece vs. the U.S. today).
Create a comparison chart showing similarities/differences in powers, rights, and responsibilities.
Extension: Write a reflection on which system seems fairer and why.
