-Students create a Drawing of the activity or activities they had done over the summer. Then after completion they must create a 10 line Poem about their summer. (Due August 20th)

Projects:
7th Grade – Age of Exploration Starting Monday, 22-Due Date September 26
(Partners are allowed; however, certain modifications will be made to ensure that the project experience is for both students.)
Project Idea 1: Explorer Trading Cards (For Partners, each student must create 2 cards)
Each student creates a “trading card” for an explorer.
Front: Picture, name, dates of exploration.
Back: Country they sailed for, routes taken, accomplishments, and impacts.
Class can “trade” cards and use them to review explorers.
Project Idea 2: Columbian Exchange Museum Box
Students design a museum exhibit in a shoebox showing goods, animals, and ideas exchanged during the Columbian Exchange.
Include 3–5 items with labels explaining their historical significance.
Present boxes as a “class museum.”
