Week 3-4 | March 30 and April 6 Research and Action Proposal

By the end of this week I must:

Come up with 5 research questions
Link at least 5 resources
Have 3 action proposals

Start with the What if? question and others....

What do I need to learn about?
Why is this important? Who does this impact?
Who else has taken action about this topic?
What are the reasons that I should take action?
What evidence would I need to research to support my reasons?

Begin the Research Process

Focus: Narrow down the topic and craft a guiding question.

Research Question 1: When people eat processed food what part of body part does it effects the most?

Research Question 2: What processed food do Grade 5 students eat most in Korea?

Research Question 3: Why is it important to eat less processed food?

Research Question 4: What are ultra-processed foods?

Research Question 5: Is processed food also good for our health?

This is my choice because I think this is the main/ key point for my topic. I also choose this questions because I am interested in this topic and I also want to tell others that processed foods are harmful to our body.

Choose 3 Action Proposals and write at least one sentence about what you might do for each.

Action Proposal 1:

I think I can do a survey( google form) to grade 2~5 students and ask some questions like, " how often do you eat processed food?" Because I will make a graph with the result and I will put the graph in the photo.

Action Proposal 2:

Write one sentence to explain what you could do...

I will make the poster and paper survey ( that has sticker right next to the paper and they can put the sticker on the paper survey). Maybe I can stick the poster in the school and than people can stick the sticker in the poster.( In korea its called street survey sticker). I will make a graph with the result.

Action Proposal 3:

If its possible I want to do a pressentation to grade 2 and grade 5 and pick 3 people( in each class) to do a interview, and I will give some healthy food that I made.

Action 1- needs more detail, what types of question are you doing to asking? What are you going to do with the information from the google form? Are you going to make a table or a graph?
A google form cannot be the only action, you need be able to explain what you will do with the google form. How can it help you to show awarness about your topics issue?
Action 2 - is a good idea but what will the survey be about? who will take the survey? Where and when will you do it?
Action 3- What type of presetation will you make? Are you going to make a Canva to share with the classes? How are you going to choose the students to interview? And instead of making a snack why dont you think about create a poster or infographic with healthier options.
