Tools: Use LightBurn’s test pattern generators to create test grids with varying interval settings, helping identify the best interval for your specific material.
Choose lighter colored materials (like a baltic birch ply-wood) in which a dark engraving would show up. Choosing darker materials, you can either backfill your engraving with a light paint, or engrave a negative image (where your lights are dark and your darks are light.)
More flammable materials, like wood and acrylic, should be avoided for high DPI engraving - as the dots will crater out and run into each other - resulting in a distorted image.
