Solo-Ensemble Competition

Solo and Ensemble is a festival put on by the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA). This festival allows students to participate in a contest, perform for a judge, and receive feedback as well as a rating of gold, silver, or bronze. Students are allowed to participate as a solo performer, and 6th, 7th, and 8th, graders may perform solos or form small ensembles of other students in their class. 

Small ensembles must be at least 3 people with any instrumentation (2 violins and a bass, 3 cellos, 3 violins and a viola, etc). Information will be given to students in October regarding this event. The deadline will be November 18th to be registered. Music will be handed out following Thanksgiving break. The contest will be February 7th this year and hosted at Avon High School.
