ON 1945 I have tuned in 3315 and heard a soccer(?) program mostly in Eng on that freq.

At first i thought it was SLBC or PNG Mnus BUt abt 2000 i have heard a hindi type language

Due to other AIR freqs in parallel it is sure that it is Bhopal. The others found are

4760 Port Blair - two sigals at this freq 4880 Lucknow S9 QRM from MOsad USB 4895 Kurseong S7 3315 was S9 , 33333

( all using DSWCI - DBS )

ARABIC WORLD IN ADHA

Today and tomorrow is the Adha the Arabic Eastern . On 0955 UTC I have heard an interconnection of several Arabic radio stations in the 21 MHz starting from R Pakistan on 21465 inparallel to 21495 //21505 //21600//21705 at least with prayer in very aggressive talks passing the TOH ( 1000) and till abt 1020 closing with quran preaches Also most Arabic satellite TV stations were in parallel from on 1430 onwards except Libya and Iraq.

BFBS has been found per last tips ( Glenn Hauser) in all these news for the 1500 1900 time slot

5945 is with S9+20 db right now on 1723 with 12040 at S9+30db 15530 has been till 1700 with RDP? Followed then after 1700 Signal abt S9+20

Please notice that the program is a radio relay of sub-channels RAF and channel 2 of BFBS satellite channel transmitting via Eutelsat W3 at 7E , 11324 Mhz and PCR 462same audio PCR. 15530 is abt 0.1 sec delay while 5945 with a little less than 1 sec

I checked my satellite system and found that the virtual channels called ôRadio 2ö as well as æRAFÆ transmitted by the BFBS MPEG2 æpacketÆ are in parallel with the above freqs. 12040 has a 0.1 sec delay over the sat feed while 5945 abt 1 sec The funniest I heard: ô the next transmission of BFBS starts in à secsö covered by background music.

Mysterious signal on 9935

Yesterday Sunday 23 while listenning to Laser radio, on 2215 there was a carrier for 5 mins then on 2230 there was a station caled itself 'Da Azadi Radio Pukhta Parawana' mostly with news in Pushtu (but surely not Farsi). There were also references to Marlboro (?), international news and Gernany was called æGermanÆ instead of Aleman (as in farsi) , and half song played after 2247 for more talks . Also English people were interviewed and cut after their sentence. Nearly TOH there was an adress in Kabul and a reference to a spelled RSCRM. ( again missed something, as I did not use a tape recorder) The signal was S9 or 33433 at most times , when Laser radio was not more than S4 I m wondering if it is a new QRG for R Liberty I will try however to get a response from my afghan friend for this name. " pukhta parawana" I suspect that Pukhta is Pushtu language as neither words are used in Farsi . In the last DXLD 23-2 referred transmission from Syria (??)

Excerpt from Laser radio (LRN)reception report: Only WBCQ transmission is able to be heard here tune in 2100 till 2300 total time (incl Azad R) . Program for 2100 was with woman playing old time classic songs as stand by me , California dreaming, Delilah etc . giving also telephone 77364129 email adress and web page several times First QRM by above station was on 2315 for 5 minutes then again with normal tx on 2230 . Audio was companded with C&USB modulation SINPO of LRN was 24423 using AM or 34444 using USB with signal being just S3-5 max ( Both logs 23.2.2002 using 16 m vertical , Zacharias Liangas Retziki Greece )

I finally manages to listen tot he religious station on 21 with talks in Farsi . signal level is 8-9 at 1808 Strong levels of ute QRM Same time Kyrgyz R with Russian pop songs and signal strength S9+10 and talks by woman in RR Also Kyrgyz radio oin 4010 was of nearly same signal strength for the successive days: S5-6 for 1600 and abt S8-9 max for 1900 UTC . USA 9330 WBCQ 'The planet'. The station has now been heard in 9330 .QGR on 28.2 was 9329.8 with religious px on 2115 nd maximum signal of S2 or 14223 and QSB to fade off.

On 1/3 and on 2213 nothing could be heard . Instead of it on 2330 it has been heard with S2-3 or SINPO 12222 with QRM from RFE/RL Iranavilla.

ON 3-3 signal was marginal on 2106 having splatter from 9345 ( S9+40 db)

On 2.3 and 2009 signal was S3 using 10 db preamplification but splatter from R Pyongyang . Later signal was 34433 on USB

And finally on 3.3 something nice happened . Planet has turned in to LSB! At 2106 signal was again just marginal ( and with relatively insignificant QRM) with nearly 33333 at 2130 . Nice program with old rock songs Monitoring for Planet 1,2,3 March

This condition caused me be off house for all this time. nbut i still had the opportunity to listen to shortwaves with the 2 month new KCHIBO KK979 radio which i use in my latest workpoint in the Students Residence All the logs here are kept with the format M.kk the radio uses with a 5-10 kHz off freq. Due to problems on sitting(hemorroids) I cant for this time make the necessary typing corections Reception point: my parents house , indide Thessaloniki with built in antenna as well as using a 1 m wire

While trying to listen to Tatarstan on 0638 on 9690 this Thursday 8 Iáá found á aá faint signal from Romania playing slavicá traditional musicá then YL IDing R Romania and with prg in Romanian At 0646 and thená there were several fade offs from RRIá leaving a bit the signal in cleará from R Tatarstan with a man with accented speaking in RR. 0655á seems RRI was off so that Tatarstan was clear , with russian songs andá an ID such as ''Volna Tatarstan ' or something similar then sign off.á SiNPO was 23233á for RRIá , same for TT

Back again after more than 3 weeks... my computer was forá service, new problem on radio receptioná

From 9thá ofá this monthá powerline noise (PLN) from theá nearby á 10kV electricity towers effectá again my reception ,á with a S9 to á S9+10 level over all the bands. Noise seems quasi ignition orá spark type since only in short parts of the band noise blanker caná eliminate it. IN other cases my MFJ1025 double antenna noiseá canceller can beat the noise but not 100% and requires very fineá adjustments.á The PLNá isá quite strong á around and outside the house

I made a callá to the national Electricity company DEIá for thisá noise problem . The officer in charge insisted that I was the firstáá claiming about it, and supposes it is a local transformer problemá or due to possible overload from electrical appliances. (but stillá exists though we are in cold weather and rain á for today )á It is expected powerline communications to start in late end this á year by DEIÆsá daughter company Tellas .

Here are a few logs the previous 2 days. ( and using the new bhiá NES 10-2 á external noise blanker)

Over the previous 4 days i was in a journey for the 'Holy Spiritá vacations'á on the mount Kerkini - Belles-á 80 km NE fromá Thessaloniki for soem relaxing as well as tripping across the areaá . Kerkini is one with fishes under preservation We stayed in theá very small village Ano POroia , 900 m aboveá sea , abt 5 km far from the Kerkini lake

The radio i used isá Kchibo CC300 cassete sized PLL with digitalá readout and its own telescopic antenna. THis radio showná goodá sensitivity across the upper bands (9, 11 13 and 15 mHz so thatá antennaá needed not to be fully unfolded , but for lower bands fullá unfolding is necessary.
