The Mirage 2000 will be modified in this project to add the following features: This page hopes to document the process so that it can be carried out for other aircraft.
Transparent canopy
Pilot and seat
Air Force Markings
Retracting Landing gear
First I made a copy of the Mirage original Mirage 2000 and pasted it to a folder called user/ysg2000/mirage200c_v002. All files will use this tag at the end to differentiate it from the previous versions.
Next I changed the dat file to identify this Mirage 2000. Check if it loads into YSFlight without problems.

The aircraft loads and flies.
First Test: The copy of the Mirage 2000 loads in YSFlight without any problems
Step 2: Importing into Blender
The first attemp resulted in a script error, but there it is:
Texture mode switched on. No edit mode for some reason so there is a work- around.
Working around no edit mode : let the default cube be that allows editing to take place.
The first step is to select two edges in the canopy and move the canopy down and out of place, to avoid interfering with the new canopy. This worked with the F-16. I had to try several times cycling out of the edit modes to get this to work. The cockpit area appears as a light blue cavity. This has to be painted black or a dark color.
Next add landing gear.
The landing gear was exported in Wings 3D from an lwo file. The landing gear object is centred at the origin.
Below are the settings for the left landing gear.
POS: the position of the landing gear. If the X coordinate is changed, for example, the landing gear moves along the x-axis
vis: click this to make the object visible in that state. If this is unchecked, the object disappears when it reaches that position
We can see everything else is blank except the
POS/H parameter which is 179.8 almost 180 degrees. This rotates the wheel about its vertical axis, makes it inwards instead of outwards
STA1/R which is 79.81 which rotates the wheel about its nose to tail axis here named "Z"
So lets add an object and apply the same settings to that object to make it work.
The landing gear instead of retracting can be made to disappear in position 2 which looks like retraction
