Directors

William Garcia
YYT is pleased to announce that we are expanding our production schedule and are happy to introduce our new director, William, to our YYT community:

William Garcia first appeared on stage at the age of 5 and has done his best to stay there ever since.  He worked as a professional actor in his teen years, appearing in many plays, several TV shows, and a few films.  In college, William began pursuing a directing career, earning a BS in Film Production from the University of Texas at Austin.  Among his stage directing credits are Twelfth Night, Medea, John Brown's Body and Noises Off!  Soon after graduation, he discovered his love for teaching and entered the classroom as an English Literature teacher.  He has since earned his MA in English Literature from the Bread Loaf School of English, where he focused on Shakespearean Drama.  He currently teaches in the English department at Washtenaw International High School (WIHI).  In addition to directing and acting, William enjoys reading, gaming, and finding new ways to avoid grading essays.
