June 15 2018 - overview - this is the setup for fire services in Yosemite National Park to the best of my knowledge

Engine Company 1 - El Portal - 7 FF from NPS and 7 FF from Mariposa County - 1 type 1 engine plus maybe 1 small rescue

Engine Company 2 - Wawona - 1 type 1 engine with Jaws

Engine Company 3 - Valley - 1 type 1 engine and 1 type 2 engine and ?

Engine Company 7 - concession engine - 1 type 1 engine and concession oncall FFs (firefighters)

Wildland Fire Department

Valley Wildland Station - next to Structural Station - 1 type 3 engine (Engine 33) + Chief 500 / FMO + Battalion 31

Wawona - 1 type 3 engine (Engine 32)

El Portal - 1 type 3 engine (Engine 31) + Crew 1 + Water Tender 2

El Portal Fire Cache - Supply 1 + Supply 2

Hodgden Meadows - 1 type 3 engine 346

Crane Flats Helibase - 1 copter (Helo 551 Type 2 Bell 205 A++) and fly crew + Division 5 / Aviation Program Manager

(wildland info from wildcad 6/14/2018)

-------------------------------

Wildland units are only staffed in the summer

Maybe 1 person serves as both the Structural Chief and the Wildland Chief - maybe it is a Valley Ranger for 6 months and then a Wawona Ranger for 6 months

Sturctural units are only staffed by oncall staff

Mariposa County also pays $30,000 per year to Yosemite NP for coverage of buildings on non federal land in Yosemite NP
