Group Visits to York

16th October 2018

Very successful visit from Old Aquinians and Friends.  46 people attended the club at 2.30p.m.  We provided them with afternoon tea and took them onto the courts for 7 hoop games.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon.

6 members, John Bullock, Denis Bull, Pam Warner, Helen Amyes, Dan Ryan and Dorothy Bull, were present to help the group play golf croquet and 1 member, Dorothy Fairclough made sure the urn was boiling and ready for the hot drinks.

The Sherlock Holmes Society visited York Croquet Club on 31st October 2011.

York High School Students came to the York Croquet Club during November and December 2009 for a five week course in learning to play Golf Croquet.  The students and teachers all enjoyed the course.

If your group is plannng a visit, or a conference or seminar at York, arrange to have a game or two of croquet as part of your visit.

York Croquet Club Inc caters for groups visits. 

For a small fee, we supply all the equipment, training in Golf Croquet, and morning or afternoon tea.

Allow a couple of hours, and we will start by showing you how to hold the mallet, how to hit the striker ball, and how to go through the hoops.  After only a few minutes, you will have the idea, and we will guide your group through their first game.

Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill!
