I am currently a Full Professor in Automatic Control at Université Marie et Louis Pasteur (UMLP), Besançon, France, and a researcher in the Department of Automatic Control and Micro-Mechatronic Systems (AS2M) at FEMTO-ST Institute (Franche-Comté Électronique Mécanique Thermique et Optique – Sciences et Technologies).

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Automatic Control and my Master’s degree in Traffic Information Engineering and Control from Chang’an University, China, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. I then obtained a Master’s degree in Automatic Control Engineering from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France, in 2012. In December 2015, I earned my Doctorate in Automatic Control from the same university.

From December 2015 to August 2016, I held a postdoctoral position at the Laboratoire d’Automatique et de Génie des Procédés (UMR CNRS 5007) in Villeurbanne. During this period, I also served as a teaching assistant in Automatic Control at the Département de Génie Électrique et des Procédés (GEP).

From 2016 to 2025, I was an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences) in Automatic Control at the French engineering school École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques (SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM) in Besançon.

My research interests include port-Hamiltonian systems, distributed parameter systems, and electroactive polymer (EAP)-based soft actuators.

I am a Senior Member of IEEE and an active member of the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) Technical Committee on Distributed Parameter Systems, the IFAC Technical Committees on Distributed Parameter Systems (TC 2.6) and on Mechatronic Systems (TC 4.2), and the ASME Technical Committee on Distributed Parameter Systems.

In addition, I serve as co-director of the International Master’s program in Automatic Control and Robotics (Master ARMAC) at Université Marie et Louis Pasteur (formerly known as Control for Green Mechatronics, GREEM).
