Welcome

I am Associate Professor (with tenure) at the University of Cambridge. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, M.S. and B.A. from Seoul National University, and another B.A. from Yonsei University. 

My research interests include:

Creativity: My research looks at how information (e.g., task-relevant knowledge, feedback) and information structure affect employee creativity.

Culture Creation and Change: My research investigates how an organization creatively creates a set of functional cultures, which resolve problems arising from changing environments. This topic lies in the intersection of creativity and culture. 

My research has been published in academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Journal of Management. I currently serve on the editorial board of Academy of Management Journal.

I actively translate my academic research into practice by publishing practitioner journals, such as Harvard Business Review. My research has been featured in various media, such as Forbes, The Globe and Mail, Irish Times, and Ladders.
