Visit to Suzhou No. 1 Silk Factory （苏州第一丝绸厂）. We learned about the successful transition of a state-owned company to a market-oriented company. We also gained first-hand experience in making silk.
Hosted a business reception at one of the most prestigious five-star hotels, Minshan Hotel （岷山饭店） in Chengdu. Thanks to over 40 leaders from Sichuan University Business School, and entrepreneurs and corporate executives from Sichuan for attending it. Thanks to CEO of Minshan Hotel, Ms. Gao, for helping with the logistics.
Hosted a business reception and Karaoke Party at Wangfujing (王府井） in Beijing. Thanks to executives from Zero2IPO (one of the largest VC-PE data providers in China), EF International, Utah Trade Representative and other distinguished guests for attending it.

I would like to welcome all of my academic colleagues and the other business and government leaders who are here, and thank you for attending this reception! Sorry that I can’t be there in person to meet with you this time, but I know that Prof. Keene and Prof. Xiao will represent us well.
However, I look forward to meeting you all on another trip in the near future, and I would like to extend a warm invitation to every one of you to come visit us here in Salt Lake City. We would love to host you and show you our beautiful college campus, the city and Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.
Over the years, Westminster has been honored to welcome hundreds of excellent students from China, provide them with a world class education and a temporary home for a few years, and in many cases help them move on to further education and good jobs with firms such as Goldman Sachs. We are very proud of their accomplishments, and hope to welcome many more like them in the years to come.
Westminster is pleased to have been awarded many honors in recent years, such as being deemed one of the colleges that pay you back and one of the best. However, we are also proud to our innovative collaborations with our colleagues in China including Donghua University and Nankai University. Today, as we are broadening our connections to include Sichuan University and many esteemed companies through our MBA International trips, we welcome new ideas and opportunities for collaboration as well as more excellent students to become part of our global community.

2016年3月7日，四川大学MBA校友会会长李君辉、秘书长廖敏、校友服务部部长姚技、创客俱乐部部长程思议、宣传部部长刘宇及部分MBA校友代表参加了四川大学商学院与美国西敏大学戈尔商学院的商业研讨交流活动，出席了当日的交流晚宴。
晚宴交流中，MBA校友会代表与从事投行工作的Matthew Zitting先生做了深入交流。Matthew Zitting先生所属公司专注于高科技等领域的早期投资。双方就投资偏好及投后增值服务、创新与模仿、MBA校友企业等方面做了深入沟通。校友会创客俱乐部程思议部长着重向MatthewZittin先生介绍了四川大学MBA校友在创新创业方面的情况以及校友会创客俱乐部在校友创业服务方面给予的支持等。通过交流，双方增进了了解，希望今后互通项目信息，共谋发展。商业研讨会上，四川大学MBA校友会副秘书长、MIEC医启汇创始人陈思在现场做了详细的项目推介，并就国内医疗行业发展现状、MBA校友创业企业进行了案例分享。
四川大学MBA校友会北方分会徐建会长、米德宪、何志刚、李玉龙、顾强等校友在北京与西敏大学代表团成员进行了交流，并与代表团成员、犹他州中国贸易代表陈女士、清科集团研究总监和业务拓展经理、英孚集团业务拓展经理等共进晚宴。
3月7日傍晚，代表团在四川岷山饭店宴会厅举行西敏大学商务招待会。犹他州州长Herbert先生首先通过录影的方式致辞。他介绍了犹他州良好的商业、人文和自然环境，然后分析了犹他州如何能连续6年被《福布斯》杂志评为美国最适合企业发展的州。在州长致辞后，西敏大学校长Morgan先生通过录影的方式致辞。他简要的介绍了西敏大学和中国友好院校和公司富有成效的合作，并希望西敏大学和四川大学能进一步加深合作。他还诚挚的邀请大家来西敏大学访问和学习。接着4位在美国、英国和新加坡高盛公司工作的来自中国的西敏大学毕业生给大家分享了他们在西敏大学学习的亲身经历。在同学们的演讲结束之后，西敏大学戈尔商学院MBA项目技术管理方向主任Mike Keene博士发表讲话，他指出犹他州和中国的交往源远流长，事实上前任犹他州州长Huntsman先生曾担任美国驻华大使，在任期间推动了很多中美合作交流的项目。他非常欢迎大家来西敏大学商学院交流和学习。在Keene博士讲话结束后，四川大学商学院副院长、EMBA教育中心 主任邓富民博士发表了热情洋溢的讲话。他首先欢迎西敏大学商学院MBA代表团访问四川大学，然后分析了四川省经济发展的机遇与挑战，并且邀请美国西敏大学商学院的老师和同学考虑今后和四川大学商学院多开展各种形式的交流与合作。

3月4日上午在上海普华永道公司，陈兆丰先生给大家做了题为“中国经济的新常态”的报告。陈兆丰先生是普华永道中国及香港工业制造与服务行业管理咨询业务主管合伙人，也是战略交易咨询主管合伙人。陈先生分析了中国经济最近的新趋势比如中产阶级崛起和消费驱动经济增长、人口结构性变化、城市化及基础设施建设、境外投资和消费、“一带一路”、自贸区、亚投行、制造业2025和互联网+等，通过展示一系列详尽的数据图表，生动形象的分析多个行业的案例，指出在中国经济“新常态”的背景下那些行业会有更大潜力，应该如何抓住新的商机来推动企业进一步发展。
3月4日下午在上海美国戈尔公司，亚太区业务和人力资源主管Stevy Yao先生和中国区业务主管Violet Yu女士介绍了戈尔公司独特的企业文化。戈尔公司是一家跨国公司，连续18年被《财富》（Fortune）杂志评为美国100家最佳工作单位之一（2016年全美排名第12名）。其独特的企业文化是公司核心竞争力重要的组成部分。该公司强调信任个人、充分发挥小团队的力量、强调眼光长远、同舟共济。该公司在组织结构上与传统企业层级式结构不同，采用网格式结构，只要有员工提出创新型的项目，有小团队愿意一起做，那么公司一般都是支持的。这种灵活的组织结构，非常有利于企业创新。员工薪酬按照其对项目的贡献程度来确定。公司还通过和员工共享利润来增强凝聚力。下午还访问了海泰集团。陈总经理给大家介绍了海泰集团的发展概况，并结合中国房地产市场发展的历史和现状，分析了中国房地产未来的发展趋势。陈总经理通过自己的亲身经历，深入浅出的对中国房地产市场的机遇与挑战作了精辟的分析。
3月8日下午代表团在成都访问了四川省大学生创新创业活动中心。苏兵副主任首先热情地欢迎大家的到来。他为代表团介绍了中国政府“大众创业，万众创新”的政策，然后介绍了其中心如何为四川大学生的创新创业提供全方位的支持, 并且展示了该中心支持下大学生创新创业的成功案例。苏主任接着带领大家参观了中心的布局，着重突出该中心在大学生创业的每一个阶段中心提供的具体支持，并告诉代表团该中心计划很快建成大规模的企业孵化器。代表团对中心取得的成绩表示赞赏，并对中心发展的前景充满信心。
在完成了对四川省大学生创新创业活动中心的参观后，代表团来到安琪儿妇女儿童医院。代表团在医院院长带领下参观了医院，代表团认为医院良好的医疗服务和设施已经达到发达国家水平。作为当天刚刚开业的月子中心的首批客人，代表团接着前往月子中心出席了中美医疗研讨会。首先，安琪儿控股集团卓董事长和蒋总经理分别致欢迎辞并且介绍了安琪儿集团，然后西敏大学商学院MBA同学围绕着如何通过创新来提高医院利润做了一个报告。双方着重讨论了如何通过细分医疗服务的种类来有针对性的满足客户需求，从而提高医院利润。双方还对中美医疗行业的异同作了深入讨论。双方都觉得受益匪浅，希望今后有进一步合作的机会。
3月9日下午，代表团在北京访问了一家迅速成长的互联网金融公司“懒投资”。该公司从2014年初创始以来，在短短两年多时间里其管理的资产从0迅速增长到80亿人民币，并且为客户带来10%以上的稳定年收益。该公司CFO邓先生先给代表团介绍了公司如何通过互联网平台沟通个人投资者和中小企业，开展对于中小企业应收账款的保理业务，从而解决这些企业短期融资困难的问题。由于该公司在选择应收账款对象的时候非常注意企业的资信，所以能达到无一例违约。在此基础上该公司还进一步开发了新的金融产品以求更好的满足个人投资者追求稳健收益的需求。在邓先生演讲结束后，该公司创始人、总裁陈先生和CEO张先生分别介绍了公司的历史和发展战略规划。最后代表团参观了该公司。该公司朝气蓬勃、充满青春活力，深深的打动和吸引了代表团，特别是代表团中三分之一的金融行业的管理人员。
3月10日上午，代表团访问了国务院发展研究中心。在中心有幸聆听产业经济部赵昌文部长关于中国经济的精彩演讲。赵部长着重讨论了中国经济从制造业向服务业主导转型的过程，政府如何推动创新型经济的发展，以及金融发展和经济增长的关系。然后魏博士和朱博士分别就中国产业经济和金融经济的发展作了详尽的阐述。代表团成员通过访问，对中国经济发展的过去、现在和未来有了更深的认识。
3月10日下午，代表团访问了中国最大的跨国公司之一的天狮集团。在天狮集团副总裁、总裁办公室主任和总裁高级秘书陪同下参观了天狮博物馆和医院后，代表团有幸聆听集团创始人李金元总裁的精彩演讲，都十分佩服天狮集团从一家初创企业迅速成长为中国最大的跨国公司之一，并十分赞同该集团多元化、国际化的发展战略。代表团对天狮集团未来的发展充满信心。
