I had the honor and pleasure to co-lead, with Dr. Mike Keene, Gore Business School's Graduate Business Program International Context Tour to China in fall 2014. This tour included visits to:

Beijing:

--Digital China Headquarters (the largest integrated IT services provider in China)

--Zhongguancun National Exhibition Center (China's "Silicon Valley")

--Guanghua Management School of Peking University (China's "Harvard Business School")

Shanghai:

--PriceWaterhouseCooper: a top-4 accounting and consulting firm in the world

--Education First: a leading international education agency headquartered in London

--Rio Tinto Asian R&D Center in Suzhou Industrial Park. Rio Tinto is a leading mining company headquartered in London

Chengdu:

--Angel Women and Children's Hospital, a leading high-end private hospital in China

--An entrepreneurship symposium and networking banquet at Sichuan University in Chengdu, where about 40 local corporate executives from healthcare, finance and other industries gave presentations and participated in discussions.

Students also visited some of China’s important cultural sites, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Giant Panda Breeding Center and the Leshan Giant Budda (the world's largest Buddha) in Chengdu. They also attended the Sichuan Opera and got a bird’s eye view of Shanghai atop the 1621-foot tall World Financial Center. They also went on a canal boat and garden tour in Suzhou, located outside of Shanghai.
