鍾連寶師父
山東煙台人, 自幼酷爱武術, 從一九五三年七月起拜林景山宗師为師学七星螳螂拳, 在林宗師的精心指导下, 经过了几十年德刻苦训练和潜钻研, 锺大师出色地继承和发扬了林景山宗師的拳法风格和技击特色. 锺大师曾多次在全国及省市级的武术比赛中取得优秀的成绩, 也曾多多次在各类武术比赛中任裁判, 裁判长. 他不遗自己力地推广和播七星螳螂拳技术为挖掘, 整理和发展这分宝贵的民族遗产付出了艰巨的劳动.一九八零年锺大師在山西太原参加全国第二届传统武术比赛时,结识了香港地区参代表源汶皆.源汶皆是锺大师的师叔罗光玉的门生黄汉勋的门徒. 这次遇然的会晤成了南北同门的第一次联系. 在与源汶皆的交谈中, 鍾大 師了解到七星螳螂拳在南方和国外传播情况.
一九八四年鍾大師兩個侄子鍾其勇與鍾志平代表煙台螳螂門派参加在青島舉行的山東省 傳統武術比赛并取得较好的成绩.一九九三年在煙台 舉行國際螳螂拳表演賽期間, 菲律賓嶺南國術研究社代表在大會邂逅了鍾大 師門下参加比賽的數位門徒, 一見如故, 終於登門拜 訪鍾大 師, 在交谈中, 嶺南國術研究社代表团深感到鍾大 師对传授拳技的态度真. 在再三的恳求下,鍾大 師終于破例接受嶺南國術研究社四位社 員(其中一位是蔡明仁)為其第一批海外弟子.一九九七年鍾大 師應意大利國家奥林匹斯委員會的邀请到意大利傳授螳螂拳.并且在意大利主持成立國際七星螳螂拳俱樂部.后来為了团结发扬本派的七星螳螂拳,锺连宝大師之门徒在各国地区组织分部.一九九七年锺大师接收新加坡全国武术总会的邀请,参加第二届全国武术观摩会,过一年後应参加菲律賓嶺南國術研究社舉辦"武術世界觀摩會".這些年来鍾大 師數次到菲律賓, 意大利, 德國, 法國, 比利时, 新加坡, 香港, 英國等國家继续发扬传授本派的七星螳螂拳.
Grandmaster Zhong Lian Bao
Grandmaster Zhong Lian Bao of Yantai, Shandong, China was born in March 1, 1942 to Zhong En Qing and Gao Cheng Fen. He showed great interest in martial arts as a young boy and in July of 1953 he began to study Qixing Tanglang Quan under grandmaster Lin Jingshan. After more than a decade of strict personal training, grandmaster Zhong has transformed into an accomplished martial art master of Qixing Tanglang Quan, from 1959 to 1972 he actively competed in many local and provincial Wushu competition in which he garnered several honors. In 1979 he represented the Shandong province Tanglang Quan Style during the First National Traditional Wushu Competition held in Guangxi province, and in that same year he was invited to perform in the Fourth National Wushu Competition. He repeated his impressive performance in the 1980 Second National Traditional Wushu Competition in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. Grandmaster Zhong was invited to be the head judge during the Tenth Shandong Wushu Competition in 1974 and likewise served in 1984 and 1992 Wushu Competition as judge and head judge respectively. In 1980 while representing Shandong Tanglang Quan in the Shanxi competition, he met Yuan Wenjie (Yuan Man Gai) who is representing Hong Kong Qixing Tanglang, they both got to discuss the progress of Qixing Tanglang outside of China (Yuan Man Gai is the student of Wong Hon Fun the famous disciple of Luo Guangyu), this was among the earliest meeting of north and southern Qixing Tanglang practitioner. In 1984 grandmaster Zhong's nephew namely Zhong Qi Yong ang Zhong Zhi Ping represented Yantai Tanglang Quan and competed in the Qingdao Tanglang Wushu competition where both earned excellent award. In 1993 while competing in the Yantai International Tanglang Competition, four Ling Nam Athletic Association members (one of them was Arnold Buenviaje) became grandmaster Zhong first overseas disciples. In 1997 grandmaster Zhong was invited by the Italian Olympic Committee to teach Tanglang Quan in Italy. While in Italy he organized the International Tanglang Quan Association. This organization was further expanded by grandmaster Zhong's disciples by establishing branches and affiliations in Germany, Belgium, China, and Philippines. He was invited to perform in the Second National Wushu Display held in Singapore, and in the following year he was invited to perform in the World of Wushu Show that was staged in Manila, Philippines. Grandmaster Zhong have traveled widely to propagate the art of Qixing Tanglang Quan and regularly conduct Qixing Tanglang Quan seminars in the Philippines, Italy, France, England, Germany and Belgium. His students came from various parts of the world like China, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and other countries.
