七星螳螂拳宗師林景山 師祖

     林景山宗師生於一八八五年山東萊陽縣姜瞳村，林景山宗師為七星螳螂第四代傳人，授業於七星螳螂 拳第三代傳人范旭東宗師門下。林宗師自幼愛好習武，十四歲的時候自身來煙台，被萊陽縣同鄉會會長，煙台天寶恒經理蓋先生介紹到南大道永昌糧店打工。當時，范旭東宗師的拳房就在離糧店不遠處的估衣街，林景山宗師就經常利用休假跑到拳房外偷看范旭東宗師教武，并憑 著記憶模仿著練習偷看來的一招一式，這樣日子常了就引起范旭東宗師的注意，范旭東宗師便叫林景山宗師到房裏，林景山宗師更將自己的身世經歷告訴了范旭東宗師，一個少年痴心習武的精神感動了范宗師，范宗師便叫林景山宗師將學到的套路演練看看。雖然林景山宗師，當時演練看的套路不完整，但動作和功架還很正規。 其時是一九零二林景山宗師正式拜入范旭東宗師門下。

     林景山宗師自知體力差，故對步法方面十分注意練習，進退虛實，閃騰竄跳，急進溜退的速度特 別快，常令對方手腳未來已失身影所在，而林景山宗師在剎那間又返身而回，敏捷之處使其師兄弟們不敢輕視并效仿學習之。林景山為北方武林名師歷數十年不替。

     一九一一年到一九一五年林景山曾應邀到天津，在軍閥赭璞手下任教官，其後林景山宗師又回到煙台接管了范宗師的拳房教武。林景山宗師的劍術，六合棍，梅花槍，春秋大刀亦蜚聲武林。

     一九二九年煙台望海街養青中學之校長陳成九聘林景山在養青中學任教武術。由於林景山的認真執，學生們進步很快。經常參加地方性的武術散打比賽，成績很好。

十年的動亂中，林景山宗師回到了他的故里，萊陽縣姜瞳村，雖然年事已高仍然每日教徒練武不止。一九七一年六月一日，林景山宗師在他的故里去逝，終年八十六歲。  

Seven Star Mantis Fist Grandmaster Lin Jing Shan shi zu

     Seven Star Mantis Fist (Qi Xing Tang Lang Quan) grandmaster Lin Jing Shan was born in 1885 in Lai Yang, Shan Dong. He was the disciple of 3rd generation grandmaster Fan Xu Dong. Lin Jing Shan was very fond of martial arts. At the age of 14 he moved to Yan Tai to find a job, where he was introduced to Lai Yang Town Mate Association chairman Mr. Gaito work in the Yung Chang cereal store, which was located at the South Road. Fan Xu Dong’s boxing school was at Ku Yi street, where it is very near to the place of employment of Lin Jing Shan. During his free time, he would secretly watch Fan Xu Dong teach and would later practice the technique he saw by himself. One day Fan spotted Lin Jing Shan secretly watching him teach and asked him to why he is spying on him. After telling his intention, Fan asked him to show what he have learned, though he have not fully complete the form, but Fan was amazed by his techniques and skills. Later Fan accepted Lin Jing Shan as his student in 1902, which was the start of his martial art career. Fan was strict with Lin Jing Shan, he emphasized on the fundamentals, Lin was likewise an ideal student that strived to be the best, in a short period of time he have improved tremendously. Having small body frame he developed his speed and foot work to compensate his short comings. Later he became at par with his much bigger fellow classmates like Luo Guang Yi and Yang Wei Xin.

     Lin Jing Shan taught at Tian Jin from 1911-1915, but later returned to Yan Tai to teach at Fan Xu Dong’s boxing school, later Lin Jing Shan became the 3rd indoor disciple of Fan Xu Dong. Lin was proficient with sword, Six Combination Cudgel, Plum Flower Spear and Spring Autumn Long Handled Broadsword.

      In 1929 upon the invitation of school principal Chen Cheng Jiu, he taught Wushu at the Yang Qing High School in Wang Hai Street in Yan Tai. Because of perseverance in teaching his students, they progressed quickly. Some of his students garnered excellent result at local boxing competition.

     Among Lin’s student were Hu Yong Fu, Shao Hua Ting, Wang Chun Shan, Li Bao Ta, Mou Zhuan Zu, Jing Fang Zhi, Yu Tian Tang, Lin Chun Sheng, Yu Zhen Hai, Ling Hua Tang, Wang Zhuan Lan, Zhong Lian Bao and many others. During the 10 years of revolution, Lin returned to Lai Yangand taught there until death in 1971.
